Watkins Glen International is located in New York and was the host of the US Formula One Grand Prix. It’s an excellent race circuit with fast flowing corners and a long back straight away.
Qualifying
Qualifying was a little disappointing with not being able to string together a full lap close to the times in the practice session. After qualifying, I was in twentieth position overall and thirteenth in class.
Race
The race was much better than qualifying being able to get into a good position early and having a great battle with the front running cars which lasted on to the first round of pit stops. The battles continued after the pitstops with the Audi seeming to be good under brakes but not quite as fast as the Mercs in a straight line. Overall it was a great race finishing thirteenth overall and eighth in class.
