The last round of the iRacing Blancpain Sprint Series came from Okayama which some people might recognize as the former Pacific GP circuit, TI Circuit Aida. The circuit has a couple of long straights and a number of corners which range from fast to slow hairpins.
Qualifying
The first lap of qualifying went well with a time that saw Benjamin Brook sitting in the sixth position but unfortunately, he was unable to better that time due to an iRacing incident being registered which left the BRT driver qualifying overall in the eleventh position with the top twelve drivers separated by less than a second.
Race
The start of the race was very good with Benjamin Brook getting a good jump and working to the inside down the main straight to make up some positions. The opening laps were very tight with being involved in a battle with a number of cars in front. There was plenty of door rubbing and good clean racing leading unto the first pitstop. Unfortunately, Benjamin Brook made an error on pit entry and was held in the pit stall for fifteen seconds after the fuel stop. By the end of the race, I managed to move unto tenth from my quality sport of eleventh. It could have been a better result but was a great and clean race.
